For years, this place had been the neighbourhood unofficial dump. All sorts of old furniture is thrown there. And not long after it is dumped, you will find the same piece of furniture all torn up because its metal parts have been pried away by scavengers.
Unofficial though it is, it still gets cleared by Alam Flora's contractors every few days. That's why we thought that it is THE place to dispose off our big-sized discards. This has been going on for years. Until recently, I did not see the sign at the spot that clearly prohibits dumping. There must be a term in psychology that explains this behaviour. How about selective vision reinforced by positive conditioning by Alam Flora?
Blame others, of course.
